Change comes with first a change of heart and change of thinking and perception. We have to not only detox our body but our thoughts and mind also. I am sure everyone out there has tried to diet in the past and only a small percentage has actually succeeded. Many of us give up after the first one fails, and then we gain a few more pounds, and then we try another diet and again we fail and again a few extra pounds; and the cycle continues…. Sounds familiar? Most of us can identify with this, I can! Guess we ought to do something different, agree?
I am beginning to realize that except we change our thinking, the way we think and the way we perceive things in our lives and the way we perceive us and our worth is what determines our actions. It is like everything else in our lives; our success and achievements in our family lives, depends on choices we make and those choices comes from the way, we perceive things and that perception, (I should say most of us because I know some people are spontaneous) comes from a thought! We think about something and then examine it in our minds and then we act. In order for us to succeed in life we have to get beyond the cycle to stand out from the rest of the crowd, be it, in business, education, to win our husbands (in courtship we had to be the best girl to capture his heart and vice versa), and persuade our kids. Everyone of us think we do things the best way, but as we meet others or go to school or socialize we learn that we can do things different and add the knowledge that we learn to achieve a better goal or purpose in whatever areas we are aiming to achieve. Every great or successful person had to overcome the cycle and it is the same with us taking control of our weight. We have to break the cycle of the past. Feel free to give your comments.
