We heard from centuries gone that fruits benefits us greatly but many times we forget those basics from the food chain pyramid. Today, I hope I can persuade you to snack more on fruits to help trigger your weight loss even more. Not only does fruits help you consume less, thus promoting more weight but it also give us enormous tools to living a happier life. Some reminders of these benefits are:
· Watermelon - is said to ward off diabetes, women eating 3 or more servings a day of watermelon and apples are less likely to ward of type 2 diabetes, according to the Nurses’ Health study.
· Fresh corn – is rich in vitamin B5, this generate energy, helping the body to more carbohydrates and fat for fuel.
· Strawberry – is known for easing achy joints, they contain painkilling mix that work like painkillers, such as aspirin, which obstruct soreness and inflammation, but without any side effects. They are also great for the heart too.
· Grapefruit – is known for lowering LDL significantly, it has great antioxidants and also carries cardiovascular profits.
So remember when you are reaching for that next candy, chocolate or potato chip and do an about turn, reaching for the fruit instead. Make sure that fruits are a part of your weekly shopping list. I know it is expensive but remember the doctor’s bills are even higher. We can do it, remind ourselves that we have choices and it is up to us to change us. Cut your eyes on the junk and remember you are worth it! Remember that fruits also boost our moods and feeds our brain.
